It was an honor to be asked by Vietri, Irresistibly Italian Dinnerware and Home Decor, to host a brunch featuring all of my beautiful Vietri serving pieces for a post on their blog and website. I have been waiting anxiously for two weeks for the post to come out… and it’s here!!! I decided to mix the “everyday china” collection up by layering their different choices within the Incanto family by using the stripe, baroque, lace, ruffle and scallop patterns for my various serving pieces, plates, coffee mugs, cereal bowls… etc. — to shop my look click here.
All week long I will be posting recipes that I used for the party including an Asparagus and Cheese Crustless Quiche, a Gluten Free Ham and Cheese Egg Casserole, a Jalapeño Cheese Grits Soufflé, and a Key Lime Bundt Cake! In addition to these recipes, I also served store-bought macarons, a super easy fruit salad of watermelon and honeydew melon with lime zest and mint sprigs, as well as assorted tea sandwiches. For the sandwiches I used cookie cutters to make shapes with the bread and used chicken salad and pimento cheese for the filling.
For drinks, there was a mimosa station, rosé, coffee bar, and lemonade with homemade fruit ice cubes. I picked up ice cube trays from Target the day before and used 1 blueberry or raspberry per cube slot and filled water to the top and froze the night before. They turned out so festive and really added a little color to the bar area. Affordable details are great conversation starters — try using fruit cubes at your next party!
